A unique and heartbreaking story of a 45 y/o "autistic" man in need of disaster relief to recover from the August 2016 flood in Baker, La. Born the only child, his parents are now deceased, First Quarter, with the help of community leaders and volunteers are now working desperately to bring a holistic restoration to "Gene"; Providing him a sense of family/community as we help him to salvage and sanitize cherished heirlooms and to gut and restore the family home left to him by his mother. A sheltered child - he has never worked, therefore he currently has no source of income since exhausting his mothers death benefits. He is awaiting disability determination to begin contributing to his own recovery. This will be a long term effort and we hope that you will help us see it through. Stay tuned to see the progress your donation are making for this gift of humanity. Thank you!
